Objects are made of materials, and materials have different properties, or qualities. A material’s properties describe the material. They tell you how it looks, feels, tastes, smells or behaves in certain situations. Some examples of properties are shininess, hardness, fragility and stretchiness. Another property is malleability. A malleable material can be bent, rolled or hammered into different shapes. A non-malleable material, though, cannot change shape easily, although it may break if you try to bend it.
