Use regular plurals with -s, -es, -ies and -ves

Regular Plurals
- Basic Rule: To make most nouns plural, simply add -s to the end of the word.
- Examples: cat → cats, dog → dogs, book → books
Plurals with -es
- Rule: Add -es to nouns that end in -s, -x, -z, -ch, or -sh to form the plural.
- Examples: bus → buses, box → boxes, quiz → quizzes, church → churches, dish → dishes
Plurals with -ies
- Rule: For nouns ending in -y preceded by a consonant, change the -y to -ies to make them plural.
- Examples: city → cities, baby → babies, party → parties
- Exceptions: If the noun ends in -y preceded by a vowel, just add -s.
- Examples: boy → boys, day → days
Plurals with -ves
- Rule: For nouns ending in -f or -fe, change the -f or -fe to -ves to form the plural.
- Examples: leaf → leaves, wolf → wolves, knife → knives
- Exceptions: Some nouns ending in -f or -fe simply add -s.
- Examples: roof → roofs, belief → beliefs
