A preposition is a word that shows the relationship between a noun (or pronoun) and another word in the sentence.
It often tells us where, when, or how something happens.

Examples:

1. Ask β€œWhere?” – If it answers the question β€œwhere?”, it’s usually a place preposition.

  • Example: The cat is under the table.

2. Ask β€œWhen?” – If it answers β€œwhen?”, it’s a time preposition.

  • Example: We start at 8 a.m.

3. Ask β€œWhich direction?” – If it answers β€œwhere to or from?”, it’s a movement preposition.

  • Example: She walked to the park.
  • Use visuals! Draw the preposition like a small comic.

  • Make preposition songs or rhymes to remember them. 🎡
